Bored of Authority is a speciality retail store located in Whistler, British Columbia.
Project
Ahead of the launch of the Bored of Authority's anticipated e-commerce store, I was hired to design and build a coming soon page for the brand.
Solution
This website was a departure from my typical work, as the scope of the project and the nature of the client's brand placed a greater emphasis on style over substance. There is little text on the page, only the brand name in the top left corner, and a short two-sentence message above the email input form. With such little content, I utilized Webflow's animation engine to create a unique journey on page load, using delayed animations to build anticipation for users visiting the website, which in turn built anticipation for visitors on the upcoming launch.
Result
Bored of Authority collected over a thousand emails, and capitalized on the hype and momentum built through this website into a successful ecommerce launch.
